EVALUATION
This happened as a result of the 2D code added for creating composite
fonts. We're now creating a composite font that wraps the system font.

As part of this fix we're changing Swing's windows look and feel to use
the defaultGUI font. This font is typically defined to be MS Shell Dlg, which
is a fake font that you have to go to the registry to get the real value of.
The registry lookup code is added into the desktop properties.
