A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
the first newly created subfolder directly beneath an empty folder are never editable.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
browse to an empty directory with the JFileChooser.

Click 'create new folder'.

This creates 'New Folder' which is never editable.

Subsequent new folders are editable.

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
the first newly created folder beneath an empty folder should be editable.
ACTUAL -
the newly created folder was not editable, yet subsequent newly created folders were editable.

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

EVALUATION The BasicDirectoryModel class determines the case of interval adding incorrectly. As a result the first NewFolder doesn't start editing automatically.
