Description

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Many of our customers are trying to use Java 17 or higher and are not able  due to this bug, which has been fixed on 19.

Comments

Status should be 'closed' instead of 'resolved'. There should be a duplicates link to JDK-8283597.

The fix was backported to 17u, no plans to backport to 18 as it's not LTS release

This is a backport request to JDK 17, for https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8283597 which is fixed in JDK 19. Moving it to Dev team for further analysis.
