Description
ADDITIONAL SYSTEM INFORMATION :
Windows 7 and Windows 10 workstations using Internet Explorer 11. 
Java (32-bit) version 1.8.192. 

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Several users in our environment getting errors around Java when using Perceptive Content to attach documents into Lawson.  Errors include "j2plauncher.exe - The item referred to by this shortcut cannot be accessed. You may not have the appropriate permissions", as well as other unrelated shortcut errors.  Several of our IT techs have investigated from an application and environment standpoint, and have not been able to determine the cause of these errors.  The only similarity between all the users experiencing the issue is all are using Java (32-bit) version 1.8.192. Win

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Can provide screen shots of various error messages.


CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
The error occurs when users click the "Attach" button in Lawson to upload a document.  However, the workaround which produces no error is to drag and drop the document into the same screen to upload.

From the description it appears a duplicate of JDK-8213583 and the issue is fixed in JDK 8u211 as well as 11.0.3 (Oracle). Closing this as a duplicate.
