Comments
Checked this for 8u121 in MAC OS X 10.12.1 and couldn't reproduce the issue as reported. Closing this as duplicate of JDK-8165867 which has a fix for versions 112 (b16) and 121 (b03).

Response from the submitter: This is happening for my Citigroup remote access website which uses the Java Applet Plugin. JRE 9 is working but my mac (10.12) says this version is deprecated. Why is version 8u101 a higher version than 9?
