JDK-8225409 - Investigate removal of the Hot Card Cache
Description
The hot card cache is an important tool to mitigate impact of repeated refinement of the same cards. Currently it uses 1024 entries regardless of heap size.

This seems too small with reasonably large applications that modify a lot of cards.
