Description
As described here (see the comments) https://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-36339 there is a workaround for using the java.awt.Desktop Methods from a JavaFX Application running with Linux.
But it would be nice to have a simplier and more intuitive way. I support Anthony Petrov's suggestion of extending javafx.application.HostServices accordingly.
