Description
Rich or styled text should be available in all JavaFX UI Controls. For example, it should be
possible to add a rich text item to a list view.  This item pertains to displaying rich text statically in controls like Label, Button, ListView etc.  It is not expected that inherently plain text controls like TextField and TextArea should support rich text.  Likewise, this feature does not specifically request a new rich text editor control apart from the existing HTMLEditor.

Reasonable limits on the extent of the rich text may be considered.  It is reasonable to support font family, font size, font style, color, and so on.  It may not be necessary to include embedded images or media.
Comments
I hope this issue will be addressed in the near future. Again today I needed to show a label and a part of it was a link, which should be underlined. There are a ton of situations where rich text would be useful.

This is a going to be the longest dependency for QE and is extending outside FC date. If the dates cannot be pulled in, it will have to be an exception for ATR with release team decision

We can not begin work on this until the Graphics team delivers something for RT-17392. Once they do so, I expect our work to be 1-3 sprints.

This is a big feature and SQE would like to have first drops to test before Jan 30. When do you think you will have something?

The heavy lifting for this feature will be done by the graphics team with RT-17392. Controls should be updated to use the new features provided by RT-17392. Only limited new API is expected at the Controls level.
