When providing a lambda function into a constructor that has a custom consumer interface as a parameter, compiler throws an assertion error.

CUSTOMER SUBMITTED WORKAROUND :
This error disappears if I replace following line

        return new Invocation((t) -> handler.handle((String) t));

to this one:

        return new Invocation<>((t) -> handler.handle((String) t));

The submitted program has an error, but the compiler should not crash because of it.
