Type:Bug
Component:deploy
Sub-Component:plugin
Affected Version:7u10
Priority:P3
Status:Closed
Resolution:Fixed
OS:windows_xp
Submitted:2012-11-15
Updated:2013-05-16
Resolved:2012-11-16
The Version table provides details related to the release that this issue/RFE will be addressed.
Unresolved : Release in which this issue/RFE will be addressed. Resolved: Release in which this issue/RFE has been resolved. Fixed : Release in which this issue/RFE has been fixed. The release containing this fix may be available for download as an Early Access Release or a General Availability Release.
When one of the sandbox app warning dialogs appears, it may have an Update button if the version of the JRE is old/insecure (example attached). The update button currently opens a browser window to java.com. Instead it should open java.com/download.
Comments
Removing "8.0.0" from fixVersion field. The fixVersion field should only hold a single release value. Use backports to track fixes in multiple releases.

Yes, thank you. The Download landing page (java.com/download) is more focused on the download process than the home page and we are working to reduce the number of clicks (at least by one) so this will be the best route for the user.
