A German user reported -

FULL PRODUCT VERSION :
1.6.0_29 (64bit installed)

BROWSER VERSION:
Firefox Firefox 7.0.1 (InternetExplorer 9)

USER-AGENT :
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:7.0.1) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/7.0.1

In any attempt to install the 32bit version of Java is 1.6.0_29 with the error:
"A required file can not be installed because the cabinet file Data1.cab has an invalid digital signature. This may be a sign that the cabinet file is corrupt"
cancel the installation.
It has been several times the file "jre-6u29-windows-i586-s.exe" from the Java homepage Internt downloaded both the Explorer and other browsers.

I was not able to reproduce this personally.

EVALUATION Sounds like CR 6887806: User encounters error during instalation: "Error 1330 (Invalid digital signature in data1.cab", which is a problem with how the user's system verifies the digital signature of the .cab file. Questions: - Do they see Error 1330 or another Error number? - Does the offline installer without sponsors have the same problem? Please have the customer try the workaround in 6887806. Lack of Root Certificates Updates, or have a restrictive firewall or proxy, that cannot access the online certificate revocation list (CRL) could cause the error from Windows Installer.
