The current bundled version of Rhino is 1.6 release 2. The latest available version is 1.7 release 2 (release date: 2009-03-22).

JUSTIFICATION :
Rhino 1.7 supports JavaScript 1.7 features & is a requirement for several projects, for instance Envjs ( http://www.envjs.com ).
