Description
JSR 255 is no longer scheduled for JDK 7.  Since the Reference Implementation is currently part of the JDK 7 repository, it must be removed, and placed in a new public JMX2 project.  See http://weblogs.java.net/blog/emcmanus/archive/2009/06/jsr_255_jmx_api.html

EVALUATION The JMX 2.0 changes have been removed from JDK 7. A version of JDK 7 that contains them can be found in the Mercurial forest at http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jmx2/jmx2/ The JMX API 2.0 Javadoc can be read at http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jmx2/jmx2/raw-file/tip/javadoc/index.html A jar containing the JMX 2.0 classes is at http://hg.openjdk.java.net/jmx2/jmx2/file/tip/jmx2.jar and can be prefixed to the boot class path of a standard JDK 7 installation, using -Xbootclasspath/p:jmx2.jar
