Description
During investigation of 6745455 it was determined that Firefox 3 can be crashed if the user enters "javascript:alert(window.java);" into the address bar of a new browser window, creates a new browser window, and repeats the same step.
Comments
EVALUATION Added dummy protocol handlers for URLs starting with "about:" and "chrome:" to allow these URLs to be parsed without throwing MalformedURLException. Added explicit null check in AbstractPlugin which appears to be necessary in failure cases because Firefox's crash handler otherwise catches access violations due to Java NullPointerExceptions.
