Description
There is evidence that Java Web Start 1.6.0 intermittently experiences cache corruption
after https server sends 404.
The problem is no longer reproducible with Java SE 6 Update 10.

Comments
EVALUATION debug information from the Cu is limited and they also can't reproduce it all the time. I've sent a FVB to RSD which contains 2 cache fixes and is based on 6u3 point fix (prearrangement with the Cu) Until we get more information from the cu, we can only assume they were hitting either 6642654 or 6607978. CR 6642654 seems most probable and reading the manifest of cached entries (and deleting the cache reference if corrupt) seems like the best approach. Awaiting feedback from Cu.
