It's a bit strange that we always have to do:
throw new InstanceNotFoundException(String.valueOf(mbeanName));

EVALUATION
Useful, and trivially simple. With the advent of namespaces in JMX API 2.0, people will more often be implementing the MBeanServer interface and therefore constructing InstanceNotFoundException instances where appropriate.
