Description
bundle tested: jdk-6u10-ea-windows-i586-p.exe, jre1.6.0_10-c-k.msi from
OS: Windows XP Pro, Windows XP Home
Browsers: Internet Explorer v7 v6

Steps to reproduce:

1) Install java.
2) Check that the next generation plugin is enabled in the Java Control Panel. (this should be by default)
3) Open IE browser.
4) Select tools->Sun Java Console menu item.
5) Nothing happens.

Java console still can be opened through the java icon in system tray, when some applet is loaded.
Java console invocation with tools->Sun Java Console menu item works fine with old plugin.

Comments
EVALUATION This is a duplicate of 6632149 and is also not a P2 issue. There are at least two other ways of opening the Java Console (the system tray icon and the Java Control Panel).
