Description
One final thing that I've noted with Java 6. Whenever, the application downloads an update, the desktop icon moves back to its position when the application was first installed. That's when the application is installed off the web.

Basically each time there is an application update, java web start remove the original shortcut and create a new one.

Comments
EVALUATION we should not need to remove and create the shortcut again, if only a JAR resource is updated. at least we should only update the shortcut if the jnlp file itself is updated. or even better, if the jnlp href is the same, detect whether the shortcut name (application title is changed), and update shortcut accordingly.
