Description
Nortel is seeing a crash in their CSCF application. They came up with a simple test program in which doing a malloc before creating VM results in a crash. Attached is the code and hs error log files. They are using Electric Fence. There is no crash when they do not run the program with Electric Fence, but they think this issue could be related to their CSCF product's crash (see attached email). Nortel can run the same program with electric fence and without "malloc".

I tried reproducing the crash inhouse on perf-1x11.sfbay, but could not.
All the files are in /java/jle_dev/raghuv/nortel/electrical_fence directory.
The errorlogs sent by Nortel so far looks like the crash in their CSCF application is a different issue from the test program crash.

Could not reproduce EF crash inhouse using later version of efence. Issue resolved at customer's end after they upgraded efence . Still waiting for details on the actual CSCF app crash.
