A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
the internet explorer 6 included in xp sp2 has a new tool to enable and disable third party browser components like the java plugin
(you can find the dialog in the tools menu option of internet explorer)
currently the java plugin ( npjpi160.dll )is not digitally signed so it appears in the list as "not verified" followed by "sun microsystems".
instead other components like flash player or acrobat reader are digitally signed and don't show the "not verified" label.
JUSTIFICATION :
it just doesn't look good for sun being labeled as "not verified".
I don't want end users to start thinking about sun as a not trustworthy company (believe me or not but some user asked me if "not verified" meant that it was spyware and if he needed to disable it...)
