ADDITIONAL OS VERSION INFORMATION :
WIndows XP Sp 2

A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
Running as administrator, yet when selecting Applet support for Mozilla / Netscape it responds that I do not have permissions to apply this setting.

STEPS TO FOLLOW TO REPRODUCE THE PROBLEM :
Install JRE 1.5.0 Update 1
Install Mozilla Firefox
Go to Java Control Panel
Advanced
Applet Tag Support
Click Mozilla / Netscape
Click Apply
Error occurs

EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
EXPECTED -
I expected that Java support would be enabled in Firefox
ACTUAL -
No java support in Firefox

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

EVALUATION control panel cannot find registry key for firefox ###@###.### 2005-03-09 03:06:44 GMT the control panle clearly shows only Mozilla and Netscape are supported. so it's right behaviour to report error to users. it's not a bug. Firefox is not supported in JDK 5.0, is supported in 6.0, see #6216340 ###@###.### 2005-04-07 07:22:35 GMT
