Description
Java Desktop System Release 2 User Guide > Getting Started > Managing Your Desktop Session, first bullet
Extra spaces are added in the following locations:

Java Desktop System Release 2 User Guide > Working With Panels > Panel Objects > To Modify the Properties of an Object, number 1
Java Desktop System Release 2 User Guide > File Manager > Browsing Your Files > View Pane, first paragraph after first bulleted list, space before "File browser"
Java Desktop System Release 2 User Guide > Using Your Preference Tools > Customizing Themes, all three paragraphs in the variablelist

At these locations are indexterms. Perhaps the indexterms are being rendered as spaces?

EVALUATION ###@###.### 2004-07-21: Not A stopper ###@###.### 2004-08-05: Yep it's the indexterm that is causing the spaces, when converted each index term entry has the following entry in html <a class="indexterm" name="id12345667"></a> This is causing a space for each indexterm to be displayed. However if I view the html file in mozilla, the space is not displayed. So this is not really a problem with the conversion, it's actually a problem with the html viewer in javahelp. I've attached an example html file that has this problem. If you look at the three table entries "Controls" "Window Frame" and "Icon" the paragraph subsequent to these titles has extra spaces and is not in line with the rest of the paragraph. If this file is viewed in Mozilla these spaces are not seen, however if viewed within javahelp they are seen. Re-assiging to javahelp for further investigation. This is a JEditorPane issue. Transfering to the swing team ###@###.### 2004-08-05
