DeployTool is a GUI Tool that is to be shipped with Sun One Application Server 8.0 PE (S1AS 8.0).
S1AS 8.0 can be installed by getting a copy from the following location:
/net/koori/onestop/s1aspe/8.0/nightly/latest/bundles/
Bug Info:
On selecting a Deploytool menu and then clicking outside of deploytool (say, on another window) the Deploytool menu remains active and can accept input along with the other window that was clicked on.
Steps to Reproduce the problem:
- install S1AS 8.0 pe (calling that location - <S1AS_HOME>).
- On a terminal window:
* Start Deploytool: cd <S1AS_HOME>/bin
* ./deploytool
(This should bring up the tool)
- Click on File->New->Application ear
- Click <cancel>
Now,
- Click on an item on the Menu Bar
- Leave the Menu (open) as it is.
- Click outside the DeployTool on some other window (eg:- Browser)
- Note that the Menu is still active, you can make a selection on it. Don't make the selection yet...
- Move the Browser window on top of the DeployTool Window, so as to try to cover(make invisible) the menu that you had selected in step 1.
At this point the DeployTool Menu will appear on top of the Browser Window and both the Browser and the DeployTool Menu can accept input.
Note: This happens only when "some function, (at-least one function) has been performed in Deploytool". In the steps above, this 'one' function was performed by doing the following on deploytool:
- Click on File->New->Application ear
- Click <cancel>
