Reproduced in: RedHat Linux 9

steps to reproduce:

1. Install Tiger b11 and run swingset2 demo.
2. On closing the Swingset demo, it crashes the VM.

3. It also crashes on closing the Java Plugin ControlPanel. 

This problem is not observed in RedHat Linux 8. 

It is observed in RedHat Linux 9 from Tiger build 8

Please fix this ASAP.
