Description
Tools written in the Java programming language need access to JVM tool
support, particularly bytecode instrumentation services.  These tools
include fine-grain monitoring tools, profilers and journaling debuggers.
This is a component of the Java Platform Profiling Architecture (JSR-163
and RFE 4639363).

This interface is called Java Programming Language Instrumentation Services
(JPLIS).  It will be provided in the JRE.
