Description
We need to address a few minor API issues in a maintenance release of JSR#55 in Tiger. This RFE is a placeholder for all these changes.

Comments
Many of these API improvements have been added already while some others have not. At this point, it is not worth keeping this issue open -- instead individual RFEs should be opened as needed if there is still a need for the remaining improvements.
