Windows NT Version 4
A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
For customers that centralize their home directory for an
easy maintenantce on a central network drive, JWS installed
on each PC will generate a shortcut to the application on
the folder winnt/profiles/user/desktop. However this
shortcut is pointing to an .ind file that is located on the
installation directory of JWS !!!! This implies that if the
user changes of workstation, he will get back a shortcut
pointing to another workstation hard drive.
In one word, the JWS architecture is not compatible with
the centralization of home directories under NT.
EXPECTED VERSUS ACTUAL BEHAVIOR :
We expect the .ind files to be put in the home directory of
the user who performed the download.
This bug can be reproduced always.
