Description
When invoking SymbolTest with jdk1.4 beta b46 on solaris IA 2.6 and solaris sparc 2.6, a following message appeared on the background even though the test passed:


i18n-85-93:/usr/local/java/jdk1.4/solsparc/demo/applets/SymbolTest 26 % /usr/local/java/jdk1.4/solsparc/bin/appletviewer example1.html
Couldn't flush system prefs: java.util.prefs.BackingStoreException: Couldn't get file lock.


The message came up on the background while testing SwingSet2, Font2DTest, CharView on IA2.6, too. Should the message disappered?

Steps to reproduce:
invoke SymbolTest with jdk1.4 beta b46 on IA2.6 and solaris sparc 2.6
You will see the message on the terminal.
