I downloaded the jdk and installed it like it was described in the
documentation.

When I tried to run the javac and java by both I got a Segmentation fault.
Also the call of java -version runs into a Segementation fault.
I tried to change the thread type into the wrapper script, but it had no effect,
it run into a Segmentation fault, too.

The environment:

Segmentation Fault

Installed JDK-1.3-BETA as per instructions on website.

Tried to do "java -version" to check everything was OK, but just got a
"Segmentation Fault" message. There was no other output.

"java -classic -version" seems to work okay, and runs the demos with no problem.

O/S: SuSE Linux v6.4, Kernel 2.2.14
