Description
STEPS TO REPRODUCE

- Install JDK1.3 RC1 build P on a computer running Windows 98
- Run the GraphLayout demo using appletviewer with -classic option

C:\jdk1.3\demo\applets\GraphLayout>appletviewer -classic example1.html

- When the window is drawn, click the Scramble and Shake buttons
- Quit the demo

RESULT

The demo crashes while shutting down.

The crash does not appear to happen with the HotSpot client.
