Description
The keys plus (+), minus (-), asterisk (*), slash (/) and five (5) are active even when "num lock" is off. These keys cause input of the respective characters with either Swing or AWT text components.

Comments
EVALUATION On x86 hardware, the Numeric Keypad /-* keys are entered whether the NumLock is on or off. This differs from Sparc/Solaris, where the Numeric Keypad /-* keys are entered into Motif applications only when the NumLock is on. Note that the Numeric Keypad + key is entered on all platforms, whether the NumLock is on or off.
