Platform - Solaris 5.5.1 8-bit
JDK - thanh:04.18.98-05:38
Tests - /home/lichtenw/JavaMedia/2d/tests/applets
Hotjava - hjb1.1.2

Steps to reproduce
1. Load offscrgrtest - appletviewer *.html
2. Notice that the text in the applet appears huge and seems to overwrite other text, it also does not fit in the boxes correctly

3. Load hotjava - notice that this problem can be seen clearly on the "submit a bug" page (help menu). Some other URL's that show this problem are:- www.yahoo.com, www.espn.com, www.cnn.com.

WORK AROUND For HotJava browser the text seems to be OK now. For the applet we have another case (4135855) which does not allow to say is the drawing proper or not. ======================================================== workaround, -J-Djava2d.font.usePlatformFont=true, works for onscreen drawing. paul.charlton@eng 1998-05-10
