The Central Bank of Venezuela is carrying out a re-denomination of their local currency, with the entry into circulation of the BOLIVAR SOBERANO. The conversion rate is 100.000 (old) Bolvar to 1 (new) Bolvar Soberano (100.000:1).

The expiration date of the current Bolvar will take place on 20 August 2018.
