JDK-8198692 :
This issue tracks refactoring the code for asynchronous close and interrupt in SocketChannel and ServerSocketChannel. The changes improve performance of non-blocking IO operations. They also improve the reliability for cases where a channel is asynchronously closed or threads doing I/O operations are interrupted.
Discussion here: http://mail.openjdk.java.net/pipermail/nio-dev/2018-February/004746.html As a side benefit, the changes eliminate the deadlock in FileChannel tracked by JDK-8054039.
