Description
JEP 223 describes a new version string format for the JDK. This has been developed in the jdk9/sandbox forest, using the branch JEP-223-branch. The accumulated changes in this branch will be folded together in a single patch, that will be pushed to jdk9/dev, but only indirectly, via the route of verona/stage.
