Got multiple similar crashes when opening a Java class in the Eclipse IDE



THE PROBLEM WAS REPRODUCIBLE WITH -Xint FLAG: Did not try

THE PROBLEM WAS REPRODUCIBLE WITH -server FLAG: Did not try

REGRESSION.  Last worked in version 8u102

REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced often.

No crash logs to analyze, but looking into the description it reminds me JDK-8154831, requested submitter for complete crash logs

Received response from submitter, hs_error file attached. As expected C2 crash in org.eclipse.jdt.internal.compiler.parser.TypeConverter::decodeType This issue is duplicate of https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8154831 , hence closing as duplicate issue == C2: 121859 28875 4 org.eclipse.jdt.internal.compiler.parser.TypeConverter::decodeType (1094 bytes) == https://bugs.openjdk.java.net/browse/JDK-8154831 has been fixed in 9 and backported to 8u112. You can find the early access release of the same here - https://jdk8.java.net/download.html Please do let us know in case if you still get the same issue.
