A DESCRIPTION OF THE PROBLEM :
I don't really understand why 8135835 is a  P3.  We cannot move to Java8 on Linux because of this bug.  The backport is trivial but it's a blocker in application that happen to trigger it in 2D graphics.  Please backport.

REGRESSION.  Last worked in version 7u80

ADDITIONAL REGRESSION INFORMATION: 
Somehow this bug was not exercised on 1.7 even though you would expect it to exist.


REPRODUCIBILITY :
This bug can be reproduced always.

None - continue with Java7
