Description
A user reported the following: "Version 8 (broken due to apt retirement) and version 7 I can't install due to version check bug). Installer thinks that 10.10 < 10.7.3
You have a FAQ entry indicating that you fixed a bug in the v7 JRE installer preventing installation on OSX 10.10 (Yosemite). Can you also fix the bug in the corresponding JDK installer?"
Comments
This duplicates JDK-8027686. Which as been fixed for 7u71, 7u72, 7u76 and 7u80.

We have not been able to verify this internally, but the submitter claims that it is indeed an issue with the JDK 7.

Is the submitter correct, that we fixed this for the JRE installer, but not the JDK?
