Verified in b92 using TextArea/ JTextArea. See however https://jbs.oracle.com/bugs/browse/JDK-8016255

For dead keys handling on Linux: - the keysym should be got with current modifiers - the extended java key should be passed to the postKeyEvent method for the key code parameter
