You have approval to defer the following issues. Please update. Cheers, B.
07-10-2013

jdk8: SQE OK to defer
01-10-2013

8-defer-request: Nothing changed since jdk 7. The problem is NOT a regression and NOT a jck issue, not an escalation.
01-10-2013

Evaluation from JCK team: ======== The java.awt.Window spec states: ... developers should not assume that this method will move this Window above all other windows in every situation. Based on this, I believe this is not a conformance issue. ========
01-10-2013

Bug deferral review: Please check with the JCK team can get their approval (please have JCK team update bug with their OK to remove conformance label). Change label back to8-client-defer-candidate when done.
24-09-2013

I assume that conformance and regression labels should be removed. 8-client-defere-request: Nothing changed since jdk 7. The problem is NOT a regression and NOT a jck issue, not an escalation.

That was deferred by RT to jdk8 (see above)

EVALUATION Also reproducible in gnome environment on Ubuntu9. There is a stadalone test in comments section showing the effect (NonWorking1.java). On my machine (just gnome) it has one minor difference with the submitter's machine - on second toFront() the RED window does appear to front while on submitter's machine it doesn't. Once I enabled the compiz on my machine I got exactly the same behaviour as on submitter's stt-28. Obviously the jdk6u25 passes on my machine. Most likely it have the same root/or related to 6472274. It should and can be running smoothly with jdk7 on gnome but I don't consider this a high priority for jdk7.

EVALUATION The problem is reproducible on the host specified by the sumbitter.
