Description

It is extremely critical that the startup time for a simple video player or simple game is less than 1 second when deployed on a web page. Please go to channel.sun.com and notice that when clicking on a link the page with the video content shows up within 1-2 seconds in an uncontrolled environment. EVALUATION This is umbrella task and most of the linked tasks had been resolved. Most of open referenced open problems are outside of deployment area. Closing this umbrella item to acknowledge milestone reached. Further work on improvign startup time is needed and it will be continued under new CR numbers.
