Description
I noticed the following after installing and then uninstalling 6u10-b31 on Vista64:

1) Install 6u10-b31
2) Uninstall 6u10-b31
3) Lanuch IE
4) Click on "Tools > Manage Add-ons > Enable or Disable Add-ons"

Notice "Java(tm) Plug-In 2 SSV Helper" is still there and has not been removed. I've also tried this on b29 and earlier versions and the same happens for "Java(tm) Plug-In SSV Helper".

Comments
No plans to fix. This or a new issue can be opened if there's a concern.

This bug is old and is likely no longer an issue since the install code has been refactored since then. I'll let install team to close this bug.

EVALUATION 2 problems during JRE uninstallation: 1) The clsid for jp2ssv.dll wasn't deleted under HKCR/CLSID Only the clsid for ssv.dll was deleted. 2) The unregistration of both ssv.dll and jp2ssv.dll wasn't done in the following key branch if there's no JRE remaining on the machine. HKLM/Software/Microsoft/Windows/CurrentVersion/Explorer/Browser Helper Object Note: if the clsid has been removed from HKCR/CLSID, even the registration as in #2 above exists, IE won't show the dll under "Manage Add-ons" menu.
