Tested 5u13 b01 and 6u4 b02 on RedHat 5, not able to input using java written Wubi IM. Native input method is not deactivated and interferencing with users input.
locale: ja
test program: demo/jfc/Notepad
steps: Please refer to what described in CR5049524.

In RedHat 4, above problem was not observed.
Correction for above description:
The problem is only observed with 5u13. Not reproducible with 6u4.

EVALUATION no plans to fix on jdk5 now.

EVALUATION Focus issue for Input methods on redhat system. Still having issues reproducing the problem. Downgrading the priority. this issue should not have wide impact. I believe a workaround is as simple as using the mouse to activate/deactivate the necessary IM component.

EVALUATION I'm reopening this CR as a 5.0_xx specific regression bug.

EVALUATION The submitter confirmed that this problem is not reproducible on 6u14 b02. Closing this bug as "not reproducible".
