Problem Description :
The mozilla/NS7 crashes on linux while loading Plug-in if
- The JRE has been updated(from rc to fcs, from one promoted tiger build to another)
- the old deployment.properties exists in the <user_deployment_home>

If at any point of time the JRE bits has been updated by the user then for clean run,the deployment_home needs to be cleaned before invoking Plug-in inside mozilla/NS7 browsers. This problem has been reported to the Plug-in developers(Xiaobin/Stanley) and they have decided to document this issue for the outside users as they will encounter this problem whenever they will try to update the JRE(from beta -> rc -> fcs)
This issue is only in tiger
This protential problem is documented in the product release notes:

EVALUATION We should mentioned that: During different builds of J2RE 1.5.0 (beta/fcs), if the old JRE of the same version is picked up by the new plug-in due to the deployment.properties file out of sync, it may cause Mozilla/Netscape 7 crashes in Unix platform. Please let me know if you got any questions. THIS BUG APPLIES TO ALL TIGER RELEASES, INCLUDING GA! ###@###.### 2003-09-30 ###@###.### 2003-12-09
