The Sun Download Manager is a 100% Java application, designed to run on Solaris and Windows under Java 1.2, 1.3 and 1.4. Our testing has shown that drag and drop only works between Netscape & SDM for Java 1.4 on Solaris. It will not work for any of the other combinations of platform and java version. This is a major easy of use issue. The application was written using 1.2.1 to ensure compatablity with Solaris 8.

EVALUATION We have delivered new code to the submitter (see Comments) which we believe should address most of his problems with J2SE 1.2 by providing workarounds.
