Description
It's hard to read Kanji characters with many number of strokes,
especially the character '\u6709' by seeing a few as it.

You can see this problem by launching ControlPanel on Red Hat
Linux 6.2 Japanese. It's on the first checkbox label on the
Basic tab.

The attached files are snapshots rendered on native application
'gfontsel' and java swing application 'ControlPanel'.
You can see the difference between them in the red circle on the
snapshots.

Comments
EVALUATION Does the Xserver do a better job? (i.e. try it in a native app and please attach a snapshot.) Which font? ###@###.### 2001-10-10 The X snapshot doesn't show any bolding. Looks like another algorithmic bolding problem. ###@###.### 2002-03-12 Swing java L&F uses "Dialog Bold" as its default font seting, it's almost impossible to get good bold rendering result for CJK characters at this size, we've already suggested swing team to change this "bold" design policy. See RFE 4607364 for details, will close this as a duplicate of 4607364 ###@###.### 2002-06-13
