EVALUATION
We can't introduce public API in an update release. The RFE 6927978 proposes to add a new public class in to the java.awt package. Therefore, we can't fix this issue for 7uX.
The best options is to re-open 7161437 and fix it for a 7uX release since it doesn't require a public API change.
