Description
Tibetan layout is provided by Windows XP and Tibetan is advertised as being supported in Microsoft Vista.  People working with the Tibetan language cannot use Java because it does not provide proper layout of Tibetan.
Comments
EVALUATION The current version of ICU layout provides Tibetan layout support, but this code has not been integrated into the JVM. The tibetan layout code is largely independent of the existing code, and adding it would not disrupt layout or rendering of non-tibetan text. Adding it would be low risk. Note that this request is not for Tibetan language support in Java fonts, or Tibetan locale data. The request is for layout support of the tibetan script.
