Description
Now that Mozilla's bug 406251 (https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=406251) has been integrated, the workaround for promoting certain integer values to larger data types introduced in 6632668 can be removed.
Unfortunately, attempting to remove this workaround resulted in regressions. It appears that the fix for Mozilla bug 406251 is incomplete. Reopened their bug and deferring this one.

Comments
EVALUATION Decommitting this from 6u10 as it is non-essential.
