Description
A DESCRIPTION OF THE REQUEST :
I saw in Bug ID: 6422509 and Java SE 6 Release Notes your reasons for disabling user changes to the Temporary Files location. My issue with that: I just built a new Windows Vista 64-bit system with a 2-disk Intel Matrix RAID array. The operating system and important user files are stored in a RAID 1 volume which holds the C:\ directory. I have set up a RAID 0 volume which holds the E:\ directory. I had no problem using Internet Explorer 7 Internet Options - Browsing History Settings - Move Folder dialog to change my temporary internet files location to E:\Temporary Internet Files\. I don't understand why Java should not be able to do the same, or at least use the same directory for its temporary files that IE7 uses. Thank you for your consideration, from an end user.

JUSTIFICATION :
To allow temporary files to be stored on a RAID 0 volume in RAID systems where the application is stored on a RAID 1 volume.
